Jonathan Offt was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He grew up in Blairstown, Iowa where he attended Benton Community High School. At Benton Community, Jonathan was in the National Honor Society, won a Citizenship Award Winner and was a letter winner on their basketball and golf teams. Jonathan Offt was also very involved in music having taken part in the All State Chorus, Concert Choir, Show Choir, Madrigal Choir, Band, Jazz Band, Pep Band, Drama – musical and spring play. He was also the Boy Scout of the Year for the State of Iowa and finished as the runner-up for United States.
Jonathan attended Central College in Pella, Iowa where he majored in Business Management and minored in Communications. At Central College in Pella, he was a member of the deans List, Business Management Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Campus Church Board, A Cappella Singers, Cornerstone (traveling singing group), Tulip Time Musicals, and a DJ for the college radio station.
Afterward, Jonathan Offt went to Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri and graduated with a Master of Divinity degree. At Concordia Jonathan also played collegiate basketball.
He has lived in Chicago, St. Louis, Iowa, and South Dakota. Jonathan Offt has seen many places around the country and the globe. He traveled to 45 of 50 states, Europe, Africa, and South America. He is an avid golfer and is still awaiting his first hole in one for golf. Jonathan is married to his wonderful wife and has four children – three daughters and one son.
